Last month saw the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show take place at the NEC Birmingham, and FAKRO generated great interest amongst visitors and exhibitors across the four days.
The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show is held annually across the UK and sees hundreds of leading brands, self-build specialists and renovation experts take to the stands to showcase their products and projects, give expert advice, meet exhibitors and offer free seminars. Visitors came in the masses this year with over 35,000 attending the four days, a 10% increase on last year, and FAKRO saw over 3,000 of them attend their stand. As a result, they ran out of literature on the final day as it was eagerly snapped up in the previous days.
The show was a great opportunity for FAKRO to meet current and potential customers, and the interest they had was overwhelming. Around 50% of visitors to the stand came with drawings and plans, so they were able to offer tailored advice and support to potential customers and merchants, building strong lifelong relationships. With over 25 years of experience, and being one of the largest manufactures of roof windows and loft ladders, it’s no wonder visitors turned to FAKRO for help with their building and renovating plans.

FAKRO’s attractive stand featured multiple windows on display, generating great interest amongst visitors, with queues of people wanting to see their designs and products. FAKRO’s Galaria window was one of the highlights due to its innovative design where the sashes are opened creating a balcony effect.
FAKRO’s preSelect window was just as popular with visitors being impressed with the centre pivot and top hung openings, and the ease of use.
In addition, FAKRO had a masterclass session take place on the Friday, which completely filled the floor with no seats remaining, and visitors having to stand! The Masterclass was an intuitive session on how to choose the right roof window for the home, taking into account the amount of daylight, what glazing is required, roof pitch, flashing, energy efficiency and much more. FAKRO also brought along their mascot Turtle, which saw hundreds of visitors taking pictures, interacting, and even dancing with him at some points! Their turtle proved a great hit with the kids too, causing great delight when they could take home their own branded cuddly toy version too!
Overall the event was a huge success and FAKRO were pleased to be part of such a prestigious national show. Centaur Media who organised the show were a great support, as well as all the FAKRO team themselves who were on the stand for the four days, as well as the set up and take down teams. A great event had by all, one FAKRO hope to be a part of again in the future.
