FAKRO donate to St Giles Hospice
2017-12-20

As the end of the year approaches, the Christmas period is one of the hardest for those suffering with a terminal illness and those that have lost loved ones. This year FAKRO GB contacted a local charity called St Giles Hospice in Lichfield about donating £5,000 at the end of year presentation.

Three hospice units are situated across the West Midlands and have touched the lives of almost 1/3 of all families living within the area. St Giles Hospice relies heavily on donations to help continue their work across the community rather than solely government funding.

The cheque was presented by the department managers from FAKRO to Neil Antcliffe from St Giles Hospice.

Noel Shanahan, Managing Director commented, ‘This year FAKRO have been involved in a lot more events across the community. With staff members having previously dealt with St Giles through their own experience it was a meaningful donation from everyone at FAKRO.’

Once the cheque was handed over to Neil Antcliffe, Mr Shanahan announced that FAKRO will be adopting St Giles Hospice as their charity for 2018.

Neil Antcliffe, Income Generation Project Manager expressed, ‘We are incredibly grateful to the team at FAKRO GB for their amazing support and very generous donation. We quite simply couldn’t do the work without the support of our local community and the businesses that form part of that community, so thank you very much.’
