FAKRO Collect an Eggstravagent Amount of Easter Eggs for St Giles Hospice

FAKRO organised an in-house Easter Egg collection for St Giles Hospice. Staff members, companies associated with FAKRO such as Spotless Cleaning and members of the public donated to the cause which saw a fantastic selection of 74 chocolate eggs.

After a previous visit to the hospice, FAKRO were introduced to the work St Giles do for their patients and within the community. During the ward visit, many of the nursing staff were going above and beyond to attend to their patient’s needs. From this, FAKRO wanted to give something back to both the patients and staff.

Samantha Smith, Marketing Coordinator commented ‘We wanted to do something a little different as we’re continuing to raise money every day for St Giles. The idea was an instant yes from the get go. Myself and my colleagues worked extremely hard to collect as many Easter Eggs as we could.

The overall amount exceeded my expectations and it was great to personally drop them off to the hospice. As soon as I walked in with a trolley full of chocolate the staff on the front desk were overwhelmed.’

St Giles contacted FAKRO later that day to thank them for the donation and that they were being given to the patients that afternoon.

This is just part of FAKRO’s and St Giles partnership for fundraising this year. There will be plenty more opportunities throughout the year to support such an important cause.
