Despite the uncertainty around the current market, and the recent trigger of Article 50 in the UK, FAKRO continues to thrive as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of roof windows and loft ladders.
How? Read on to find out the secrets to their growth…
Investing in a stronger Support Team
It’s FAKRO’s people that really make the difference, and we are always looking to invest in the best service and technical support we can provide to our merchants, architects, self-builders and roofers.
In the past year, we’ve extended our sales support team and internal marketing team so we can provide direct and instant one-to-one support for both consumers and merchants, with more product training materials, better point of sales guidance, and more sales initiatives.
A Partnership Approach
Key to the company’s growth had been recognising the importance of our merchant partnerships, and one of the company’s main strategies has been to invest more time and thinking into how we can drive roof window sales for merchants across the UK.
Relaunching roofwindows4you.co.uk with a new and improved merchant directory means that visitors will now be able to search for their nearest Appointed FAKRO Stockist more easily than ever before, by using the Find a Stockist map, or by entering their postcode at the checkout.
In addition, the launch of a new Merchant Portal gives merchants access to all the key information they need, training materials and a live chat facility all in one place so that they can feel more confident when it comes to selling our products.
Quality and Innovation
It’s not just our customer service that we’ve invested in – innovation and product development are at the heart of the FAKRO ethos and with over 100 engineers based in our state of the art Research and Development Centre, we are continually striving to bring added features and benefits that provide solutions to our customers ever evolving roof window demands. We are equally passionate about improving established product ranges, thereby ensuring that production techniques and processes are always of the highest standard possible.
Working closely with Architects, Designers, House Builders, Contractors and even Self Builders, allows us to look at specific project requirements and offer high quality solutions.
A Bright Future
Commercial Director, Dave Robertson said: “We’re not overly concerned about the impact that Brexit, or other recent economic events, may have on our business, and believe that the roof window sector will continue to be a buoyant one.
New builds are on the up again, and the proportion being built with rooms in the roof are also increasing. Even when the market was depressed, there was still a healthy number of homeowners who chose to convert their lofts or build extensions, rather than moving to a bigger home. Self-builders and loft converters are using roof windows as an intrinsic element of design to create light-filled spaces that can, in many cases, totally transform a space. More so in towns and cities where the only practical way to expand is up!”
