FAKRO at BATIMAT Paris
2017-11-22

One of the most important events in the construction industry – BATIMAT - opened on 6th November in Paris. The biggest trade fair in Europe attracted more than 3000 exhibitors and hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the world.

The biennial exhibition hosted some of the best known manufacturers in construction. FAKRO displayed new roof window and loft ladder innovations as part of a schedule which sees it participate in over 20 trade fairs each year. Indeed, FAKRO has exhibited at every BATIMAT since 2001.

The main focus of this year's impressive 216 m2 stand was the flat roof window range and Type F Colourline models in particular. They offer excellent thermal performance and contemporary design in a range of over 200 RAL colours. The stand surprised and impressed visitors with its distinctive design, new products and an acrobat performing on a DXW flat roof window, demonstrating its unique, load-bearing capacity and non-slip surface.

FAKRO also exhibited intelligent ‘Smart Home’ solutions with roof windows and internal accessories controlled via a smartphone together with solar awning blinds which need no mains electricity.

Visitors were shown the advantages of the patented preSelect® roof window which offers two independent opening options – top hung and centre pivot. Its sash can now be opened up to 45°, an improvement of nearly 30% on the former design.

Also on display were the highly energy-efficient, quadruple-glazed FTT U8 window, the “warmest” on the market, and an anti-smog awning blind with a filter membrane for vertical windows.

The new INNOVIEW vertical windows and doors were seen in France for the first time with huge interest shown in the spectacular 5-metre wide HST lift and slide doors. FAKRO Group Marketing Director "Sławomir Gawlik commented, “Large expanses of glazing are perfect for contemporary architectural styles and are considered by many designers to enhance modern lifestyles."
