Whether designing a commercial building or a loft conversion, using roof windows in combinations or individually, FAKRO products have been developed to provide the highest standard of performance, functionality and appearance. With their operating handle in the base of the sash, FAKRO’s sleek, modern frames enable a considerably larger glazing area to be provided. 
Specification clauses are openly available, using either CAD details from this site or from NBS Plus.
Windows which are now manufactured using topSafe system provide one of the highest standard of safety ((minimum Class III – EN13049). TopSafe also hampers break-ins with the reinforcement system which is currently available only in FAKRO roof windows as standard equipment. The system prevents the timber from splitting, hinges being pulled out or the sash being broken.
The addition of an automatic V40P air inlet as standard also guarantees energy savings and ensures water tightness up to 600 Pa (test method - EN 1227).
In keeping with its policy of achieving and surpassing quality standards of all countries in which its products are sold, the FTP-V centre pivot roof window was the U.K.’s first to receive BBA certification. All FAKRO roof windows are made using slow growing, close grain redwood pine which is guaranteed to be knot-free. Products are also CE marked.
A warm TGI spacer reduces thermal bridging thus minimizing risk of condensation. In terms of ensuring effective timber protection, the slow growing, redwood pine is vacuum impregnated and finished with a durable lacquer ensures.
The timber used for the manufacture of the FTP-V Centre Pivot and FPP preSelect® Top Hung and Pivot windows is from FSC certified sources. Windows are also designed to be easily stripped down for recycling of components.
A universal installation system makes it possible to install the windows on rafters or battens and at three depths according to the roof type and tile / slate profile.
