Two sashes are placed in one frame of the FDY-V U3 window. The upper sash is opened like a pivot window but its axis of rotation is situated above the centre of the window, thanks to which it is easily accessibly even for tall users. The lower sash equipped with laminated (safety) glass is non-opening.
The only roof window on the market which after installation in roofs with pitches 30º – 43º satisfies the conditions of DIN 5034-1* standard according to which the lower edge of the window should be situated 95cm and the upper one minimum 220cm above the floor level.
The FDY-V U3 window eliminates the need for vertical combinations, hence offering larger glazing area. The upper window is operated by means of a handle situated in the lower part of the sash which provides a two-step micro-opening facility.
The window is equipped with an automatic air inlet V40P which supplies the optimum amount of air into the room.
The sash can be rotated through 160º and blocked for washing with the use of a bolt.
