The SFV combines the advantages of both skylight and tilting window. Its “warm” frame design incorporates low-E glazing with tough ened outer pane, (covered with low emission coating), and a system of perimeter seals. Operated manually by a mechanism in the bottom part of the frame, the unique system of hinges guarantees both durability and functionality.
The SFV can be installed with remotely controlled electrical operation. Each SFV skylight is supplied with an insect screen. Because of the location of the pivot bar in the top part of the frame, the insect screen is installed directly onto the frame. These skylights are recommended for both low pitched roofs and exposed locations. Where the skylight is located in an out-of-reach position, cleaning of the outer pane does not present a problem as light smears will not be visible and heavier ones will be washed away by rain.
SFV skylights can be installed above and below or adjacent to each other.
